Rotary Butterfly Valves
Rotatory valves are generally small in size and rotate back and forth 180 degrees. The operation is pneumatic, and they are usually less than 300mm in size.
These valves contain pockets instead of being flat and find their applications in powder processing industries. When the rotatory valve is closed, it functions like a butterfly valve in terms of tightness. However, the pockets allow the dropping of solids when the valve is in rotation. Some solids drop, and thanks to this feature, this valve can be used to dose bulk products through gravity.
